About
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I first found my passion for communication in a journalism class I took in high school. I always did well in my writing classes growing up and thought it would be fun to be a "real-life journalist." As college started approaching, I discovered LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication and its public relations concentration, which sounded like the perfect fit for my gifts and passions. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of my story as a communicator.
Through my wide experience in communications, I have become proficient in writing, social media planning and implementation, graphic design and strategic communication. I've worked in higher education, freelance design and, most recently, science communications at NASA. After earning my bachelor's degree in mass communication, I am pursing a master's degree in mass communication with a focus in strategic communication at the LSU Manship School to further my education and enhance my leadership skills. With just one semester remaining before I finish graduate school, I'm eager to begin my career as a communicator to make a positive difference in the world.
When I am not studying for my classes, I spend most of my time hanging out with family and friends, watching Netflix and Disney+, going on nature walks with my husband and playing with our cat, Dusty.
